Clear aligners at MDRN Dental Studio use the Orthosnap system — custom-fabricated from precise digital scans of your teeth. Treatment is remotely monitored through the Dental Monitoring app, reducing the number of in-office visits without any loss of oversight.

Total treatment time varies widely depending on case complexity — from a few months for minor corrections to 12–18 months for more involved cases. Dr. Steven will give you a realistic estimate at your consultation.

Your Appointments, Step by Step

Consultation + Exam

45–60 min

Dr. Steven evaluates your bite, teeth, and overall oral health to determine whether clear aligners are appropriate for your case. Digital photos, X-rays, and a 3D scan are taken. He'll review what movements are possible with aligners versus other orthodontic options, discuss the Orthosnap system, and set realistic expectations for your timeline and result.

Aligner Delivery

30–45 min

Your full set of custom aligners is delivered. Attachments (small tooth-colored buttons) are bonded to specific teeth to help the aligners grip and move teeth precisely. The Dental Monitoring app is set up on your phone. You'll receive a full walkthrough of wear time rules, how to use the PUL removal tool, Chewies, aligner care, and what to do if something breaks. You go home with everything you need.

Progress Checks (remote via Dental Monitoring)

Weekly scans from home

Every week, you submit a scan through the Dental Monitoring app. Our team reviews it remotely and confirms whether you are ready to advance to the next set or need a few more days. You advance only when confirmed — never on a fixed schedule. In-person check-in visits are scheduled every 6–10 weeks (15–20 min each) to review progress, perform any IPR (interproximal reduction), and adjust the plan if needed.

Final Scan

~30 min

When treatment is nearing completion, a final scan confirms your teeth have reached their target positions. If any refinements are needed, additional aligners are fabricated and the process continues for a few more weeks.

Retainer Delivery

~20 min

Attachments are removed. Custom retainers are delivered. Your retainer must be worn every night indefinitely — teeth will shift without it. Dr. Steven reviews long-term retention with you and answers any final questions.

What to Know Before You Start

  • Success depends almost entirely on wearing your aligners 20–22 hours per day — compliance is the single biggest predictor of outcome
  • You must download and set up the Dental Monitoring app before your first scan — setup instructions are provided at delivery
  • Never advance to a new set without Dental Monitoring confirmation from our team
  • Aligners must be removed before eating or drinking anything other than water
  • Continue your regular hygiene visits throughout treatment — aligners trap bacteria if oral hygiene slips
  • Once treatment ends, you must wear your retainer every night — without retention, teeth will shift back
