Our Commitment
MDRN Dental Studio is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply relevant accessibility standards so that all patients — regardless of ability — can access information about our services, schedule appointments, and connect with our team online.
Conformance Standard
Our website targets conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. WCAG 2.2 was published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) in October 2023 and is the current internationally recognized standard for web accessibility.
WCAG 2.2 Level AA builds on and supersedes WCAG 2.1 Level AA. It includes all prior success criteria plus new requirements introduced in the 2.2 release — specifically improvements around keyboard focus visibility, touch target sizing, drag-and-drop alternatives, and accessible authentication. Our commitment to WCAG 2.2 means we hold our site to a higher and more current standard than the previous WCAG 2.1 baseline referenced in earlier versions of this statement.
Accessibility Features
We have implemented or are actively working toward the following accessibility features:
Keyboard Navigation
Key areas of the site are navigable by keyboard alone. Interactive elements — including navigation menus, buttons, and forms — have visible focus indicators that meet or exceed the enhanced focus appearance requirements introduced in WCAG 2.2.
Touch Target Sizing
Interactive elements on touch-enabled devices are sized to meet the WCAG 2.2 minimum target size requirements (24×24 CSS pixels minimum), making the site easier to use on mobile devices and for users with motor impairments.
Alternative Text
Meaningful images include descriptive alternative text. Decorative images are marked as presentational so assistive technologies can skip them.
Semantic Structure
Pages use proper HTML heading hierarchy and landmark regions (header, main, nav, footer) to help screen reader users understand and navigate content efficiently.
Color Contrast
Text and interactive elements meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA contrast ratios — a minimum of 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text and UI components.
Screen Reader Compatibility
The site is built with semantic HTML and ARIA labels where appropriate to ensure compatibility with screen readers and other assistive technologies.
No Seizure-Triggering Content
The site does not contain animations or video content that flashes more than three times per second. Background videos include autoplay controls accessible by keyboard.
Consistent Navigation
Navigation is consistent across pages so users always know where they are and how to move through the site.
Captions and Transcripts
Where audio or video content is present, captions or transcripts are provided or planned.
Ongoing Efforts
We treat accessibility as an ongoing process rather than a one-time checklist. Our team regularly reviews the site for accessibility issues and addresses them promptly. We also recognize that some third-party tools or embedded content (such as Google Maps or scheduling platforms) may not be fully within our control — where this is the case, we work with vendors and provide accessible alternatives where possible.

Our McKinney office is located in an accessible building with parking, accessible restrooms, and barrier-free entry.
